Live In Caregiver Needed

Home Care, Caregiver Needed - We are looking for a caregiver for a live-in position in Brookfield, CT to care for our 84 year old mother. We dont need a cleaning lady, we have one! What we do need is a companion who can assist with everyday living. Duties would include preparing and serving daily meals, grocery shopping, laundry; assisting with personal care such as bathing and dressing; medication monitoring, providing companionship, coordinating with outside services that come to the home, transporting her to appointments and social engagements along with normal everyday living issues. She is able to walk with a walker, but requires assistance as she does fall. She has mild dementia, but most times is a very happy, social, and funny. She is hearing impaired, wears hearing aids, but does still have difficulty hearing. You will have your own furnished room in a lovely private home; all utilities and meals included (if you want your own private telephone that would be your responsibility); use of a beautiful, fully insured car with gas; plus a monthly cash stipend provided. We are willing to work out a schedule that does allow you some time off. We are looking for a mature, responsible, experienced caregiver (non-smokers only please) who can work independently and is willing and able to follow directions in a professional yet pleasant manner. We want someone who is a caring, kind, has a good sense of humor and can be a good communicator with both the patient and her family. You must have a valid CT drivers license with a clean driving record, be able to supply references and willing to submit to a background check.
