Caregiver Needed for Live-in Position

Home Care, Caregiver Needed - Live-in Position beginning in the June/July 2012 timeframe. Our family needs help caring for our mom in her home. Looking for someone (preferably mature) to move in and live rent free in two-story townhome in the Gloucester, VA courthouse area. If you have another job during the day, thats fine too. We can manage care during the day if need be. Mom is 65/white/widow/non-smoker. She had stroke last year. Issues with thinking, reasoning, memory, safety. Mom requires some assistance. Some signs of dementia also. Of primary importance is dispensing of meds, meal preparation, and ensuring safety to the best extent possible. Someone you can trust

Home Care, Caregiver Seeking - Are you looking for someone you can trust with your loved one? I have 30 years experience in caring for the elderly. I have always had a connection with the elderly and have worked at nursing homes for years. Then I went to home health. My problem with nursing homes is I tend to think I can take care for the whole bulding. That of course is impossible, but I sure ran myself ragged trying. Home health is more one on one or even a sitter at a home is one on one and you spend more quality time with your client. Never the less, I will be going to school soon on Friday and Saturday, but will have Mon-Thur free. The elderly to me are so special and I cherish their wisdom, knowledge, and stories they tell.
