Home Care, Caregiver Needed - Shared Housing & Live-in Personal Care Arrangement Opportunity to share home and provide personal assistance services for male quadriplegic in northern Baltimore County, Maryland. Private furnished one bedroom apartment. Compensation provided under "independent contractor" arrangement.Minimum requirements are CPR and First Aid Certification (will assist with acquiring). Experience is not necessary.Non-smoking environment. Good driving record. The applicant should enjoy country living, gardens & gardening, be people and family oriented, and have an outgoing personality. They need to be able to handle uncomfortable situations at times and by no means be a shy person. They must be willing to learn and be someone who is patience. An interested party should have a high self esteem and care about their appearance, environment and good work ethic. Good health and sound physical condition is important. Also, trustworthiness, honesty, flexibility, longevity and morality are important attributes. For an applicant whose housing, transportation and a flexible working environment is important to them this position would be ideal. Personal care activities include but not limited to bathing, personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, transferring to wheelchair, and occasional meal preparation. Environmental activities may include laundry, keeping the house tidy and clean, and occasional ironing.Other activities include periodic transportation (in my vehicle), companion for social activities, attending family gatherings (if you choose) and occasional preparations for entertaining guests or setting up for a meeting.
