It is my calling to care for the elderly

Home Care, Caregiver Seeking - I am a 48 year old woman who has worked in the Human Resource field since 1996. It has always been my dream to be a companion to an elderly woman who needs a helper, friend or companion. I am now in the position to reinvent myself and pursue my passion. I worked in nursing homes many years ago as a teen and, to this day, that was my favorite job. Actually, more than a job, I feel it is my calling and I would like to return to that type of work. I can cook very well, have my own vehicle to take a companion for rides, and I can read to them if they would like and go for walks. I will also keep their homes neat and tidy. I would like to work Monday through Friday from morning until around dinner time. If needed on an occasional weekend, I can be available. I have my own home so I would not be available to be a live-in caretaker. I know there is a family out there looking for an honest, caring person to take care of their mother. I have been in their shoes. Going through this process with my own parents is what sparked my interest all over again with working with the elderly. I have a great personality and have the ability to make people feel completely comfortable and at ease. I am kind, gentle, and loving and would love to share those qualities with someone who needs my help.
