Home Care, Caregiver Seeking - Hello, my name is Holitte and I am 47 years old. I was born in the Island of Jamaica West Indies and have one son, Jordan Pierce who is 17 years old. I am interested in working with the elderly. Recently my 75 year old mother Maisie Lewis passed away, after struggling with Alzheimer's for more than 10 years. Taking care of my mom for 5 years has taught me a great deal. I have always had empathy for the elderly, but even more so after taking care of my mother. I am a very conscientious, compassionate worker and a very respective person to be around. I have learned to be more patient, compassionate and have an understanding of how to deal with the elderly and those suffering from this debilitating disease. Although, I have no other experience in taking care of other elderly people with this disease, I know that in my heart I would be the ideal candidate for this type of work. Becoming a caregiver/companion has become a passion of mine. This would certainly be a starting point for me. It would be a great pleasure taking care of the elderly. Sincerely, Holitte #3966
